Volunteer Training
- Programmer Training It is our goal to provide each volunteer with top–quality training and provide ALL the tools to achieve your best individual potential. Please feel free to provide feedback so we can meet (or exceed!) your needs and expectations.
- Certification Training The Certification Training will teach you the basics of Board Operations and FCC regulations, cover Studio policies and etiquette and review the Policies and Procedures of KRFC. Furthermore, you will receive some basic information on how to create your demo CD at the station. There will be a short test after this training that must be passed before you can continue with the Demo process.
- Shadow Session Get some practical advice with a KRFC programmer, where you will observe a current KRFC show for an hour to see how a program actually comes together.
- Advanced Training Choose your courses and advance your knowledge with the KRFC Music Programmer Training or Public Affairs Programmer Training. The advanced training will cover all the specific information you need to create a quality demo.
- Audio Editing and Production Training Learn how to use the Adobe Audition Audio editing program. This is needed to produce segments, work with field recordings or to do pre–recorded shows to be run on–air.
- Field Equipment Learn how to use KRFC field recording equipment. This is required for anyone using the equipment for off–site recording and interviews.
