Bohemian Nights | Saturday 8/12 5:20pm | Mountain Stage

Katie Glassman has a sparkling voice, a fast and playful fiddling style (acquired via serious study with Texas legends and jazz masters). Expect original songs that freshly interpret genres from vintage jazz to Western swing and bluegrass.

Her 2012 album, Snapshot, expresses a fiddling love affair Glassman began at age 9. Inspired by old-time Texas music, Glassman began playing by ear, honing her skills during countless competitions throughout the West. In 1998, she won the National Junior Fiddle Championship in Weiser, Idaho; in 2000, the National Young Adult Fiddle Championship; and in 2002, she placed fifth in that contest’s National Grand Champion Division. In 2011, she won the National Western Stock Show championship, making her the current Colorado State Fiddle Champion.

Bohemian Nights | Sunday 8/12 3:00pm | Singer-Songwriter Stage

After several years of steady touring behind his own records, singer-songwriter Christopher Jak has spent much of the recent years writing and producing tracks for other artists, working most often out of the famous Blasting Room Studios in FortCollins, Colorado.

His music and productions have been featured in television and films and the single “Begin to Cry” was an iTunes indie darling.  His latest recordings are a pair of EPs released back-to-back, reflecting on his work in the studio and returning to the intimacy of live acoustic recordings.

Bohemian Nights | Saturday 8/11 3:00pm | Library Park Stage

As a young and emerging artist, Megan has been making a name for herself in Nashville these past few years thanks to a strong work ethic and an incomparable passion for music. The Colorado-raised singer released her debut EP, “Dreamland” on January 31st, 2012, with her first single “Falling” hitting the radio the same week.

“ ‘Dreamland’ is a collection of some of my early songs, it gives listeners a look at who I am and the kind of music I love and want to share with others,” said Redmond about her new EP. “It includes some more upbeat modern country songs, but also some pop, folk/Americana influences. The title track ‘Dreamland,’ provides an insight into my journey so far expressing how I use music to sometimes escape from everyday life and find peace.”

Bohemian Nights | Saturday 8/11 2:00pm | Singer-Songwriter Stage

Jen Korte hit the ground running since she first picked up a guitar nine years ago. Raised in Texas, this 29-year-old songstress had a strong desire to tap into her eccentric Austin surroundings when she was 18. She began teaching herself to play and soon thereafter began playing small gigs in Austin and surrounding areas. Some of her earlier years landed her opening spots for national acts; Tegan and Sara, Melissa Ferrick, and Bitch (formerly of Bitch and Animal).

In 2005, she packed whatever she could fit in her car and headed off to Denver, CO and has been there since.

Bohemian Nights | Sunday 8/12 1:30pm | Linden Stage

In The Whale originally formed in Greeley as a fun escape from the members’ main bands. When those bands dissolved, it quickly became their focus, and in February of 2011 they moved to Denver to be a part of the music scene and try to build a legitimate fan base.

Since their move, they have been the name on everyone’s lips, turning heads with their aggressive and energetic live show, in spite of their small numbers. The band finished off the year with an EP release show, selling out the Hi-Dive, a 300 capacity venue and the go to spot for up and coming Denver bands. The EP, “Cake,” is dirty and aggressive, yet surprisingly light-hearted (think Eagles of Death Metal meets The White Stripes).
