LISTEN LIVE

Dear KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins Valued Members,

It has been a truly inspiring year at the station, and we are very excited about a number of new initiatives that speak volumes to services we provide the community and where your generously donated dollars are spent.

Your donations help us:
  • Provide complimentary underwriting to nonprofits
  • Air more live and local music in the region, which supports up-and-coming and established artists
  • Air local community updates that are informative and positive
  • Support Fort Collins, Windsor, Timnath, Greeley, and Loveland, as well as the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Business Association (DBA), the Downtown Development Association, and all community partners
  • Train volunteers in all areas of broadcast and business development
  • Promote family-friendly living for our vibrant and incredible community

Continuing to forge new partnerships has been another highlight, such as KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins booking the bands for CSU’s stadium sessions and Ginger and Baker’s live and local summer sessions. Other great affiliations include our sponsorship of DBA’s Fortoberfest in downtown Fort Collins this weekend the sponsorship of the documentary RUSH: Cinema Strangiato 2019 at The Lyric the sponsorship of Open Streets with the City on September 29 and the partnership with the Swing Station, who is generously hosting and championing the annual Poudre Valley Barn Dance, also on the 29th.

Our ability to bring live and local music to a wider audience by streaming online worldwide is something we are very proud of. Live@Lunch is already booked through April 2020 and is airing every Friday at noon from the Ginger and Baker Studio here at the station. Fort Collins Public Media will film Live@Lunch and live stream the video worldwide on Facebook. “Locally Sourced,” featuring live and local bands, is in the studio every Monday and Wednesday at noon. Also, ten or more artists and bands, on average, are dropping in for live interviews each and every week. The station is an incredible hive of activity. Our “Around Town” show, airing every Wednesday at 7 pm, is fully scheduled months out with pre-recorded live performances from venues including the CSU Stadium Sessions and Lagoon Series, Avogadro’s Number, New Belgium Brewing, Odell Brewing, Bohemian Nights, Fortoberfest, and the Fort Collins Symphony, just to name a few. This show further provides our listeners with incredible quality programming while helping artists showcase their art across the world.

With that, I’d like to share some great events for your calendars that we would love you all to attend.
