Once again this April we find ourselves blanketed in snow. Fortunately local singer/songwriter, Cary Morin, has an old guitar he can’t put down and that means a hot blues tune this week to ward away any frosty dispositions that may try to draft under your door.
Earlier this year Cary Morin successfully Kickstarted (fan-funded) a new album, “Streamline” set to release this Spring and streaming now at CaryMorin.com. The project was recorded in Fort Collins by Shaped Music and mixed/mastered at Air Show Mastering in Boulder, Colorado by James Tuttle.
“Streamline” is a totally acoustic solo recording. The tracks are live start to finish and there are no overdubs or computer magic to enhance the tracks. Although it is Cary Morin’s solo performance, the creation of “Streamline” took a village of talented people as well as a global fan-base to pay for the duplication costs, art work, publishing, recording, mixing, mastering, and of course promotion.
Frankly, if you kicked in on this project you can rest assured that you played a part in unearthing a piece of Colorado music gold. If you missed out, there’s still plenty of time to find out why Cary Morin is one of Colorado’s most loved musicians at home and abroad.
