Side A: The Story, 10/16/2019 at 6pm
Growing up in Colorado, Jim Quinlan got an early start in the retail business, often spending summers working in the family surplus store in Iowa. By the time he was 12 (that’s right, 12!) he was running the place and loving it! So it comes as no surprise that he has parlayed his love of customer service into the success story that is Jax Mercantile. After establishing Rocky Mountain Surplus in Fort Collins in 1983 at the corner of Jefferson and College (remember GI Jane?), Jax Mercantile now has 7 locations (soon to be 8)! Jim joins Michael this week on Side A of The FlipSide as they talk about how he got to be where he is today, as well as his love for Celtic music, learning how to play the bagpipes, and how to use a musical instrument as a super power! From The Black Watch to Arthur Fielder, with lots in between, you’ll get to know Jim from another angle as he talks about his favorite music.
So join Michael on Wednesday, October 16 th at 6pm for Side A and discover the
FlipSide of Jim Quinlan!
