Long-time Nvidia software engineer Ross Cuniff joins Michael this week on Side A of the Flipside. Not content with just his “day job”, Ross has served eight years on the Poudre School District Board of Education (three as Board president) and is currently in his second term as Fort Collins City Council member representing District 5. Ross comes by his interest in public service honestly: at the age of six, he offered then president Nixon some sage (and prescient) advice and as a senior in high school, orchestrated a bit of political theater that arguably saved lives. Sure, he’s a dedicated public servant, but did you know he is a classically trained pianist and plays the sax as well? He even “tortured the cello” at one point in his musical experience. His tastes in music run from Zappa (his first live concert) to Horowitz, Billie Eilish to They Might Be Giants, with eclectic surprises in between.
