NoCo Sings the Holidays

In 2025, KRFC partnered with local recording studio Honey Thief Studios to produce NoCo Sings the Holidays, a community-driven holiday album celebrating Northern Colorado’s creativity, collaboration, and local sound.

Featuring local musicians performing original recordings and fresh interpretations of seasonal favorites, the project reflected KRFC’s role as a creative connector that helps artists create new work, reach new audiences, and strengthen relationships within the regional music community.

At a time when national algorithms and mass-produced playlists increasingly shape music discovery, NoCo Sings the Holidays offered something personal, authentic, and irreplaceably local. Through projects like this, KRFC continues to expand beyond traditional broadcasting by serving as a curator, collaborator, and champion of Colorado music.
