LIVE@LUNCH™ is a weekly in-studio performance series from KRFC 88.9 FM that brings local and touring musicians into our video recording studio for an intimate, professionally produced live session. Artists perform a full hour of music and conversation, giving listeners across northern Colorado and beyond a chance to discover new sounds and hear the stories behind the songs.
As part of KRFC’s commitment to supporting the local music community, LIVE@LUNCH™ is provided to artists at no cost. Each participating band receives a professional media package (valued at more than $5,000) that can help support their careers, including:
- Three professionally filmed videos of individual songs
- The full hour-long video of the session
- High-quality audio from the performance
Many artists use these recordings for booking gigs, sharing with promoters, or even incorporating the recordings into future albums.
Behind the scenes, LIVE@LUNCH™ is powered by a dedicated team of audio and video engineers and passionate volunteers. With six cameras in the studio, our video team captures every angle of the performance while engineers in the control room ensure top-quality sound. Each session is guided by a host who interviews the band with thoughtful questions, helping artists share their story, creative process, and inspiration.
Artists also benefit from extended exposure through promotion on KRFC’s social media channels, features on the KRFC website, and publication on our YouTube channel. The full session is broadcast live on air twice, giving listeners multiple opportunities to tune in and experience the performance.
