Volunteers
KRFC depends upon the input and involvement of Volunteers to continue producing quality radio programming. Being a volunteer at KRFC is a great way to connect with your community, make new friends and learn about making great radio that is local, noncommercial, and volunteer powered.
KRFC has worked hard to create a volunteer culture that is uplifting, creative and very inclusive. We expect our volunteers to celebrate our core values and work to serve our community. We want to make every volunteer feel welcome, appreciated and help you to become an active and valued member of the KRFC community.
So come join the fun! To get started, you will need to:
Step One: Application
Please fill out the application information and submit it to KRFC. Potential volunteers will be contacted when there are volunteer opportunities that match your skills and interests.
Step Two: Orientation
Potential volunteers will meet one on one or in small groups (depending on areas of interest) with the Volunteer Coordinator for a Volunteer Orientation. Orientation will include:
- Interview of Potential Volunteer
- Tour of the Station
- Overview of Culture, Structure and Policies of KRFC
Step Three: Plan of Involvement
The Volunteer and Volunteer Coordinator will develop a plan of involvement which includes:
- A Review of time requirements and schedule for Volunteer commitment
- Dates of Training and Shadowing (if needed)
