“In the Loop” is a short news segment that airs twice a day on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9 am and 5 pm. It features local news and events occuring in Northern Colorado. Each day is hosted by a dedicated volunteer personality; with Mondays by Betsy Perna and Wednesdays by Mary Starkweather. News mentioned is community oriented and is meant to inform listeners of the good things happening in Northern Colorado.

In The Loop News for Wednesdays contains short pieces from Poudre Schools News, the City of Fort Collins news, and other pertinent news to Colorado’s Front Range.

Betsy Perna

Betsy Perna has been involved with KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins as a volunteer programmer since she worked as a news anchor for KCSU-FM 90.5 in the 1990’s. A “retired” middle-school, language arts instructor; Perna stays happily busy at KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins. She teaches Essentrics Fitness classes for the city of Fort Collins and enjoys playing Himalayan Singing Bowls, too.
